Below are several frequently asked questions that many of our clients often inquire about, along with detailed answers regarding the clinic and the range of services and support we proudly offer. We hope this information helps clarify any doubts and provides you with a better understanding of our commitment to your health and well-being.

  • What can we help with?

    You can get help with a wide range of conditions; from acute back pain to longstanding neck pain, knee injuries, hip pain, arthritis, ankle sprains, recovery after surgery and return to performance training guidance,

  • What will an appointment involve?

    Your appointment will involve a detailed discussion about the nature of the issue you would like help with and understanding your goals for recovery. After booking your appointment you will receive a questionnaire to collect some background medical information to help get as much time in the appointment as possible. 

    The assessment will then move on to a physical assessment; looking at range and quality of movement, aspects that may be causing you issues. From this you will have treatment plan discussed and implemented along with expectations for recovery and a timescale. You will receive an email summary of the treatment plan following the appointment.

  • How much does an appointment cost?

    An intial appointment is £60 for 60 minutes.  We then offer two types of follow-up. In the 45 minute rehab session the aim will be to help you have a review and then complete it with support and supervision.

    The 30-minute review will be for treatment and progression of the rehab plan

  • Where are we based?

    We are based in BKW Fitness, BS5 7FZ.

  • Do I need a Doctors referral?

    No, you do not need to have seen your GP before booking an appointment.  If following an appointment it is felt that further investigations are needed then we can link with your GP.

  • What should I wear?

    As the appointment will involve a physical assessment, loose fitting clothing can be helpful but most importtantly you need to feel comfortable.

    If you are attending a 45 minute rehab appointment then it will be based in the gym so clothing you feel happy to exercise in is receommended

  • How many sessions will I need?

    Following your initial appointment you will have an understadning of the rehab needs for your problem, the treatment options will have been discussed and a joint decision made on how treatment will look going forwards.

  • Do you accept insurance referrals?

    If you have health insurance with any of the following providers you can obtain a authorisation code and then book an appointment.

  • What treatment will I receive?

    Following your assessment a treatment plan will be discussed and agreed with your input. this can involve manual therapy, exercise prescription, movement retraining, technique review, education on the condition and expectations. The treatment will be drawn from up to date evidence,
