Drawing on 15 years experience in physiotherapy we can help people in Bristol achieve their active goals
Robbie Moore BSC, BSC, MCSP, HCPS
Specialist Physiotherapist in rehabilitation and recovery
I'm Robbie Moore - A Chartered Physiotherapist with a background in Sports Science. I have fifteen years experience helping people recovery from acute injuries and persistent problems, back pain, shoulder and knee pain, helping recovery following surgery for broken bones and ligament reconstructions, neck pain and many other conditions affecting your joints, ligaments and muscles so that they can get back to the things they love and are important to them, be that playing sport and competing, going for jog or playing with friends and family.
I believe physiotherapy, with a strong focus on active recovery and exercise, not just hands on treatment is the way forward. Aiming to build confidence alongside strength and mobility. Education is a key part of any treatment plan, if you understand why something will help it is easier to stick with the plan and have confidence in using your body again.
I value the trust that clients place in me, to support them on their journey, right from the start to understand what is important to them all the way to getting them performing at their best. Being able to understand a persons 'WHY' makes development of a treatment plan much more complete and effective.
What we treat
We manage a wide range of issue which can include acute injuries, persistent pain, longstanding niggles, post surgery management and recovery. Having played football, golf, completed distance running events, obstacle courses, cycling events, triathlons, CrossFit, and cricket I have a depth of knowledge about the demands of sport and how they vary in terms of load and requirement on the body. This will mean your assessment and rehab plan will have a clear focus to get you back doing what you love.
What can you expect at Rehab in Motion?
After booking your appointment you will receive a pre-appointment form to complete. This will ask for a little information on the nature of your problem, some general health questions and other details so that we get as much time as possible in the appointment to discuss your issue, complete an assessment and get your treatment started.
In the first session we will take a detailed history, complete a hands on assessment to provide a diagnosis, discuss the treatment options with you and implement them from the start. It can include hands on therapy but this along will often not be enough. We will take you through you exercises so that you understand their purpose and how to effectively perform them.
Follow-up sessions if required can be based in the treatment room or in the gym depending on the condition and the stage of your rehab journey. Your treatment will be based on evidence and and honest opinion of how we can help you recover and perform.
